Snow Day

Today has been a nice day. It’s been snowing enough to make it look nice outside and brighten my day. I had to go out to the woods and take a short walk with my two year old toddler. It’s been over a week since I’ve been out for a walk because of the cold. I put on his snow gear and got ready to go. It’s not the funnest to put on so much stuff on a toddler but it was worth it. He was happier than me to be out in the snow, and his laughter was so contagious as he kept falling on the ice beneath the snow. I wished I could have stayed longer. And so did he, but I wanted to se cautious and left. I ran my errand, got some food, and came back home. It was a simple yet satisfying first half of the day.
